Congratulations to Mahtomedi teacher Mr. Ryan Collins, who was named a candidate for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award!
Mr. Collins is among 142 candidates statewide in the running for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award.
The Minnesota Teacher of the Year program has recognized excellence in teaching in Minnesota for 61 years. Eligible candidates include pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers, ECFE, and ABE teachers from public or private schools.
Mr. Collins is the 2024-25 Mahtomedi Teacher of the Year. He is a social studies teacher at Mahtomedi Middle School (MMS) and has been teaching at MMS since 2001. In addition to teaching, he has served on the Stillwater City Council since 2019 and is the Vice President of the Washington County Historical Society Board of Directors.
