November 14 marked National Community Education Day. It’s observed annually on the second Thursday in November. Mahtomedi Public Schools recognized its community education department, staff, and instructors.
The community education movement began in the 1950s and 1960s - and developed in Minnesota in the early 1970s. Today, Mahtomedi Community Education offers opportunities for all ages, from preschool to adults 55+. Each adult and student is encouraged to be an active learner and to approach each experience as an opportunity to discover and explore.
Over 100 classes, programs, and events will open for registration next month, when the winter/spring 2025 catalog becomes available.
