Mahtomedi students at elementary math competition

Congratulations to our fifth-grade students from O.H. Anderson Elementary School who had an excellent performance at the Math Masters regional competition!

The OHA fifth-grade Math Masters teams took first and fourth place in the team competition, and five students placed in the individual competition!

The students had an intense day of mathematics, with students working individually and then with their teams for nearly three long hours!

The Mahtomedi Math Counts program is a collaboration between the Advanced Academics (Gifted and Talented) program and Mahtomedi Community Education. The program is made possible because of the generosity of our parent volunteers, Jill and Adam Wohl, who have led our students through weekly practices in preparation for the competition.
